Connections

Communication begins with understanding.

Neurodiversity-affirming speech pathology for upper primary students, teenagers and young adults, supporting authentic communication, meaningful connection, and self-understanding.

Who We Support

At Wildflower Connections, we support neurodivergent young people and adults across key stages of life - from late childhood through to adulthood.

We support people with a wide range of communication styles, ways of thinking, learning, connecting, and experiencing the world. Whether you're recently diagnosed, self-identify as neurodivergent, are exploring your identity, or are simply looking for support that feels understanding and affirming, you're welcome here.

Our focus is never on changing who someone is. Instead, we work alongside each person to understand their strengths, communication style, preferences, and support needs, developing practical strategies that build confidence, foster meaningful connections, and support participation in the parts of life that matter most to them. Every person is different, so our support is always tailored to the individual, their goals, and the environments they move through each day.

We typically support people aged around 10 to 35 years, including:

  • Upper primary school-aged children

  • Teenagers navigating school, friendships, identity, and growing independence

  • Young adults transitioning into further education, employment, and adult life

  • Adults seeking support with communication, relationships, self-understanding, and everyday life

Meet Jess Harris

Hi, I’m Jess Harris - a neurodivergent speech pathologist and the founder of Wildflower Connections.

I support neurodivergent teenagers and young adults with communication, connection and confidence in everyday life.

My approach is grounded in understanding each young person’s communication style, strengths and needs, and providing support that feels meaningful, collaborative and authentic.

I believe meaningful progress comes from understanding the person first, and embracing the many different ways people communicate, connect and experience the world.
