ABOUT US
Our Therapy Services
At Wildflower Connections, we believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to communication or support. Every individual brings their own strengths, experiences, goals, and way of navigating the world.
Whether you're looking for individual therapy, opportunities to build connections with others, or education for families, schools, or organisations, our services are designed to be practical, collaborative, and tailored to everyday life.
All support is neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based, and individualised to help people participate more confidently in the parts of life that matter most to them.
Individual Therapy
-
How 1:1 Sessions Work
Individual 1:1 therapy provides an opportunity to explore communication, relationships, self-understanding, and challenges in a way that is tailored to the individual.
Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, sessions are guided by each person's goals, interests, communication style and support needs. As a mobile speech pathology service, sessions can take place in environments that feel most comfortable and meaningful to you, allowing therapy to be personalised, practical and connected to everyday life.
Sessions may take place:
At home
At school, TAFE, university or other education and community programs
In the workplace
In the community - including libraries, meeting rooms, quiet cafés, parks and other everyday settings.
Via Telehealth, from anywhere in Australia
Meeting in environments that are already part of your everyday life allows therapy to be flexible, practical and relevant to your goals. This might involve supporting communication at school or university, navigating workplace conversations, building independence at home or in the community, preparing for important life transitions, or simply finding a calm and comfortable space to connect and learn together.
Every session is designed to support authentic communication, meaningful connection and greater confidence in everyday life.
Assessments & Reports
-
Communication Assessments
Assessments are tailored to each individual and may include a combination of:
Communication history and discussion
Observations
Functional communication activities
Questionnaires
Formal and informal assessment tools
Together, we'll build an understanding of each person's unique communication profile, recognising strengths and identifying meaningful supports and environmental considerations that promote participation, confidence and connection. -
Reports
Reports can be provided to support:
Communication assessments
NDIS progress reports
Documentation to support Functional Capacity Assessments
School and university recommendations
Workplace accommodations
Recommendations for ongoing support
Each report is individualised and designed to reflect the person's unique strengths, communication profile and goals. Recommendations are tailored to support meaningful participation across home, school, university, work and everyday life.
Community & Groups
-
Connection through shared experiences
Community groups create opportunities for adolescents and young adults to connect with others, explore shared interests and participate in experiences that feel meaningful.
At Wildflower Connections, I believe connection looks different for everyone. Rather than expecting everyone to communicate or participate in the same way, groups are designed to celebrate different communication styles and create welcoming spaces where people can connect in ways that feel authentic and comfortable.
As Wildflower Connections grows, groups and workshops will be developed in response to community interest and may include:
Shared interest and community-based groups
Community outings and everyday experiences
Relationships and sexuality education
Self-understanding and neurodivergent identity
Self-advocacy and communicating needs
Transition to adulthood and everyday life
Workshops shaped around participant interests
Groups may take a variety of forms depending on the interests and goals of participants. This might include meeting for a coffee, visiting local markets or museums, exploring shared hobbies, creative activities, discussion-based workshops, or community outings that create opportunities for connection.
Groups for school-aged participants may be offered during school holidays, after school or at selected times throughout the year. Workshops and groups for young adults may be offered throughout the year, depending on interest and demand.
Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, groups will be guided by the interests, goals and lived experiences of the people attending.
Interested in future groups or workshops? I'd love to hear from you. Expressions of interest are always welcome and will help shape future offerings.
